Looks like XLC is not installed correctly which is giving you the name error [see FAQ](https://www.excelcalcs.com/support/faqs/repository-downloads-have-name-errors) . In the next few weeks we have an XLC update to bring it up to date and it will work a lot more efficiently. We are just in the final stages of testing.

I downloaded and used this spreadsheet last August and with the add-in it worked great. Now I went to use it again and Excel keeps giving "invalid name error" all over the place. I even downloaded the program again. Did Microsoft change something on us?

Hi, is there any way to operate this spreadsheet without XLC or the other associated workbook links? Seems that breaking those links creates a lot of #NUM? answers which cannot be manually fixed

Hi, I downloaded the Base Plate Design (Biaxial Bending) - AISC 360-16 LRFD Version 1.0.1. When I change values for moment etc.. the Y values dos not seem to update, I would expect it would update as the loading changes. Seems it is not doing the solve block, I don't get a bolt tension either which would be expected.

I downloaded the spreadsheet a few minutes ago. After taking a quick cursory review, I discovered that cells D191 and D192 calculate wrong shear stress. Lower actuals are being reported.
Area of web resisting shear (should be as follows:
Strong axes: Aw = 2 * t *(d - 2 * t)
Weak axes: Aw = 2 * t * (b – 2 * t)
Please let me know if you agree.

Sorry, since I've been retired for almost 9 years, I don't particularly have much motivation to create an SI units version of this spreadsheet. However, all of my spreadsheets are protected, but not with a password, so you are welcome to do any modifications as you wish.

Normally we try to remove all passwords to give complete transparency of the calculation method. This one appears to have slipped through the net. I'll appeal to the author directly to see if he will remove it.

Spreadsheet has VBA password protection and all cells to the right of column AI cannot be selected or viewed. This negates the value that this spreadsheet could offer. Can a non-protected version please be offered?

Puneet. PayPal shows that your payment is pending so until PayPal processes this you are not a paid member. PayPal status says 'Pending until 15 Nov 2024' so until then you don't have access. Sorry the problem is with PayPal and there is nothing we can do but is looks like the issue should be resolved by today.

What happens when you don't have any compression steel aside from at the drop panels at columns? Several values won't compute due to division by zero.

However, next to the provided area, there is a bright green "OK" badge.
Providing 339 mm² when 456 mm² is required is unsafe.
